Thanks Beth for taking the 10 day challange and commenting on our site.  Plese feel free to post your daily food intake in our comments box.  It would give the rest of us some insite into what it takes to be successful. Please post anything you feel like sharing.  That also goes for anyone else.  This site belongs to all of us.    Good luck Beth! Please tell your friends about our weight loss program.  There are lots of people that need help losing weight and this is a rare totally free opportunity that even includes a support system.  This is a tough challenge, and as they say, misery loves company. I have been up and working since 5 AM.  As usual I have had my two cups of coffee with no sugar. I will be weighing in shortly.  I did not have time to walk yesterday so I have to do my 2.5 miles today for sure. Breakfast 1 bowl Raisin Bran and 1/2 of  a banana, 1/2 a bagel with cream cheese and strawberry jam.  BTW, I always take a large vitamin pill every morning in case I do miss any important minerals etc. Lunch I was not very hungary at all so I had 4 Ritz crackers with about a tablespoon full peanut butter,    and 1/4 cup of dry Cheerios, and lots of green tea all day.  I did get a one mile walk in before lunch.  I didn’t walk yesterday and didn’t lose    any weight.  This morning I weighed in at 225.5 pounds.  Of course, I have been dropping a lot of weight fast and it is due to slow down.  If it takes me a year, so be it. I do not like complicated diets as they are far too difficult to follow.  My basic rule is that if the calories go in, the weight goes on.  So, unless you have a medical problem that means if you control the calories you control the weight.  You don’t have to be a genius to figure that out.  Another benefit for me is that since I have been dieting I’m spending a great deal less money. I get thorough my days by snacking on fresh fruit, and dried fruit like prunes and apricots at the rate of six pieces a day and maybe a fresh banana and pieces of apple etc.  It’s not fatty, and there is no added sugar.  The big benefits for me in my diet are that there is very little fat, sugar, grease in the foods I am eating and the frozen dinners are pre- portioned at 300 calories or less.  I am also not drinking any alcohol at all and that is good for 15 pounds the first month in most people that have been steadily drinking  Alcohol over the years. (You know what they all say, “I can quit any time.” )  Well go ahead and prove it! If you stay under 1500 calories a day you have to eventually have a weight loss result.  Fast foods and fried food are totally out of the question.  Walking is definitely in.  I drink a lot of green tea, over a pot a day, and it is not the most flavorsome beverage in the world, but if you like, you can add lemon juice and even sweetener depending on how you feel about sweetener. I now take mine straight from the pot unblended.   The main thing to remember is that if you keep your calorie count down you will eventually start to lose weight even though you may go several days with no weight loss. Also, you are not alone in this struggle.  It is a major problem in the USA.  Basically, we have always known the rules so let’s try to stick to them for once.  The consequences of not sticking to the rules are a lot more sickness and an earlier death.  How’s that for incentive?  And don’t forget to get your checkups at least twice a year. I just checked my weight and  it is 225.5 with a body fat index of 23  My body fat index is down from 25 earlier in the week.    More info coming later.
